The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School connects adults of all ages and backgrounds with their Jewish history and heritage. A project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, it is the largest, fastest growing pluralistic adult Jewish learning program in the world.

  • The Miami site has 300 current students and 800 alumni ranging in age from 25 to 70, making it the second largest site in the world.
  • The program strengthens and grows the adult Jewish community inside and outside the classroom
  • Produces the Gesher L’Torah Virtual Directory, an online information bank of the Jewish adult learning programs in Miami-Dade County.
  • Partnership with the Miami Jewish Film Festival, giving the opportunity to mix education with entertainment, developing opportunities for audiences to continue learning about the film’s themes after the festival is over.
  • The Alliance for Adult Jewish Learning, maximizes our resources and increases cooperation between local Jewish institutions.
