Israel: Land of Innovation

On May 10th, 165 students from nine schools gathered at Scheck Hillel Community School during CAJE’s 6th Annual South Florida Jewish Day School Robotics Festival to compete in various challenges and showcase what they’ve learned throughout the year.
Our 9 participating schools: Brauser Maimonides Academy, Hebrew Academy (RASG), Hochberg Lower School– Posnack East, Lehrman Community Day School, Meyer Prep Academy, David Posnack Jewish Day School, Scheck Hillel Community School, South Florida Jewish Academy, and Toras Emes Academy, worked diligently to get ready for the Festival alongside our wonderful local coach, Ilana Traub (#LehrmanDaySchool).
Everyone knows that Legos are great connectors, but they have also proven to be a game changer for innovative education.

The Robotics Program and the Festival bring students from our diverse community of Jewish day schools and yeshivot together in their shared love of Robotics.

Planning is already underway for the 2023-2024 South Florida Jewish Day School Robotics Program.
Our local coach Ilana Traub is instrumental, not only in the training of our teachers at the beginning of the year, but also in the planning and scheduling of the Festival.
She has been working on a new Israel mat for students and teachers learning robotics for the first time, Israel: Land of Innovation.
This mat will be introduced next year for grades 3 to 5 that are just starting out. The mat showcases Israeli cities that are known for their technological innovations.

Israel: Land of Innovation will be introduced next year, along with the new challenge mat from First Lego League (FLL).
