The Department of Adult Learning & Growth had a sensational evening on Monday. 180 people gathered at Temple Sinai to hear “Hamilton and his Jewish Roots” presented by Dr. Robert Watson. Everyone was captivated by this amazing story of Alexander Hamilton’s Jewish father and deep connection to the Jewish community of his birth and in America!

Dr. Robert Watson is the author and editor of 36 books on topics in American politics and history. He is the Director of American Studies and is also Professor of American Studies at Lynn University.

Following the presentation the participants gathered for a dessert reception, to schmooze and find out the winner of the “Chance to Win” Hamilton Theater Tickets at the Arsht Center. Mazel Tov to Barbara Silverman, the lucky winner of 2 center orchestra tickets to the Broadway hit musical “Hamilton.”

We are grateful to our Watson Event Committee: Karen DeCou, Paula Finkle, Becky Herrup and Eileen Yasbin for making the evening such a success.

Thank to our amazing CAJE team and our fabulous Melton & More community of lifelong learners for making the evening so special. Can’t wait for the next one!
