This year the 28th Annual Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF) presents 133 Jewish and Israeli films in both In-Person and Virtual programs. Take a moment to visit the Festival Page where you can sort films by genre, language, interest, location, etc.

Opening night will feature the World Premiere of Soul of a Nation, a documentary about October 7th that will leave audiences feeling transformed and full of hope.

The Israeli-Italian film Of Dogs and Men and Miami Filmmaker Showcase Milk & Honey, Blood & Tears offer viewers not just facts but a visceral sense of the emotional and social impact of this historic tragedy.

Miami-based Emmy-winning filmmaker Wendy Sachs explores life on college campuses post October 7th with October H8te and asks difficult questions about the future.

Many of this year’s films are also celebrations of life and laughter such as Bad Shabbos and the sequel to last year’s popular movie Matchmaking, Matchmaking 2a film full of love which will premiere on closing night.

In addition to the screenings, there will be Q & A sessions with filmmakers at many of the films.

While other film festivals this year have blacklisted Israeli films, some that are not even political, CAJE’s Miami Jewish Film Festival has taken on the responsibility of creating a home for hundreds of Jewish and Israeli stories.

By amplifying voices of the Jewish diaspora from more than 20 countries, the MJFF helps to preserve and celebrate Jewish identity while standing as a powerful counterforce to the disinformation and antisemitism that often proliferates in the media and online.

Cinema is a formidable medium for education through a unique combination of visual storytelling and emotional engagement. Films help to bring historical events to life and make complex or distant events more accessible and relatable to audiences.
