Applications for Miami’s Leo Martin March of the Living program are open for prospective 2020 participants.
The March of the Living is an impactful six-month educational program for seniors in high school that culminates in a two-week experience traveling to Poland and Israel where participants study the history of the Holocaust, witness the consequences of intolerance and hatred and connect more deeply with the State of Israel. Participants commemorate Yom HaShoah in Poland by marching from Auschwitz to Birkenau. They then go to Israel the following week to observe Yom HaZikaron (Israel Memorial Day) and Yom Ha'atzmaut, (Israel Independence Day).
Applications are due before September 27. A reference letter, and interview are part of the application process. Applicants will be informed in October about their application status. Programming begins in November 2019. CLICK HERE to review the calendar.
Please share with eligible high school seniors who live and/or go to school in Miami-Dade County.
Travel does not conflict with most AP or IB testing this year.
