Craig Carpentieri, Chief Academic Officer at Scheck Hillel Community School in Miami, one of the 12 Federation-funded schools, was a featured presenter at the Cognia Impact Conference in Orlando on Jan 29-30.
Cognia is a globally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing educational excellence through accreditation, assessment, and continuous improvement services.
The Cognia Impact Conference brings together educators, administrators, and thought leaders to discuss innovative strategies, share best practices, and explore the latest research in education.
His presentation, Redefining Teacher Evaluation Comprehensively, focused on how teacher evaluation, though a multi-faceted and complex process, can be structured to effectively support school growth. By defining purpose, securing multiple inputs, norming processes, and establishing continuous stakeholder opportunities for participation, teacher evaluation can be simplified and aligned with its core objective—enhancing instructional quality to achieve an educational vision.
Craig has been a dedicated partner of the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) for the past 14 years, consistently working to strengthen Jewish day schools in Miami. As the co-chair of CAJE’s Principal and Administrators Council (PAC), he has played a crucial role in fostering collaboration among school leaders, sharing best practices, and ensuring high academic standards across the community. His leadership and expertise have made a lasting impact on Jewish education in South Florida.
At the Cognia Impact Conference, Craig shared strategies on how schools can implement structured, meaningful, and impactful evaluation models that emphasize constructive feedback, goal setting, and reflective peer practice. His approach ensures that educators are supported in their continuous growth while also contributing to overall school improvement.
Craig’s contributions to Scheck Hillel, CAJE, and the broader Jewish educational landscape reflect his commitment to excellence and innovation. His presence at this prestigious conference highlights not only his expertise, but also the dedication of Miami’s Jewish day school leaders to fostering high-quality education.
We look forward to hearing more about Craig’s insights from the Cognia Impact Conference and to seeing how his work continues to inspire and shape Jewish education in Miami and beyond. CAJE is incredibly proud of Craig’s accomplishments and deeply values his partnership, recognizing his contributions to both CAJE and the greater community at large.
