Description

New students are encouraged to join us as we continue the fall semester’s journey through prophetic texts focused on social justice. This semester we will be discussing the prophets and their outcry against cheating the poor, their movement against corruption in the judiciary, the Temple, and the palace, and their emphasis of ethics and morals over ritual observance. We will study selections from the books of Kings, Jeremiah, and Amos among others. Be inspired by the prophetic tradition and learn Jewish approaches to mending the world, motivating us to make it a place reflecting our most deeply held values.
