Friend and supporter of CAJE, Rita Spector, has launched a social and communal online (and beyond) network called: The Rita Spector Connector. Rita describes "the Connector" as “A Community of Women 50+ Focusing on Life, Health & Wellness, Travel, and JOY.”
Last week Rita’s featured guest, with a focus on spirituality, was our own head of CAJE, Rabbi Efrat Zarren-Zohar.

Busy at the helm of an Agency, the spotlight rarely falls on Rabbi Zarren-Zohar, but occasionally, when she can step away from managing, meeting, and working budgets, she gets the chance to share insightful reflection and ruminations on matters of the spirit.
We are grateful to Rita for this opportunity, and for her commitment to making the world happier, healthier, and more peaceful, by one woman 50+ at a time!

Join Rita and Rabbi for a discussion of "The I-Thou Relationship" (Spiritual vs. Transactional) inspired by the writings of Martin Buber.

Passover Resources from CAJE!

On Monday night, April 22nd/15th of Nisan, Jews traditionally gather to celebrate Passover and commemorate the exodus from Egypt. We reenact the exodus through story, discussion, and song at the seder table. CAJE's Department of Adult Learning and Growth, in partnership with our faculty, has compiled Passover insights and teachings designed to help you spiritually prepare for the holiday. We have also included links to resources that you can share around your seder tables to spark meaningful conversations.

Rethinking How We Commemorate Yom Ha'Zikaron & Yom Ha’Atzmaut

In the aftermath of October 7th, amidst heightened antisemitism and anti-Zionism, Yom Ha’atzmaut and Yom Hazikaron hold deeper significance than ever before. Many Jews are asking: How can we celebrate when so many are suffering? How can we remember the trauma of our past, while we’re still experiencing it? How can we capture the heartbreak we have experienced while at the same time, highlighting the gratitude we feel? This past week, CAJE presented a pivotal webinar focused on empowering our Jewish institutions and professionals to innovate in how they commemorate of Yom Ha’atzmaut and Yom Hazikaron.
